Salmon Magazine features Chessington SEN Garden

Check out page 16 of the Autumn SALMON magazine for the latest developments on the  Chessington SEN garden.  The garden is within Chessington School (formerly Chessington Community College) and is shared with two other local schools, Ellingham Primary and St Phillips School.

Many local businesses have come together to transform a piece of land into a tranquil space for students with SEN.  The groundworks were sponsored by Chessington World of Adventures and the different area’s within the garden were designed by Howard Gregory of Chessington Garden Centre.  Interested companies were invited to pick a project to complete or sponsor, supervised by Idverde.

You can read all about it here: https://edition.pagesuite-professional.co.uk/html5/reader/production/default.aspx?pubname=&edid=97a8e1ea-85d3-4d8b-8409-236a3ba601a3

The official opening of the garden is on 28th September 2018 and ED Davey, MP for Kingston and Surbiton, will be cutting the ribbon.

Going forward, the garden requires many volunteers to maintain and grow the project.  If you would like to help in any way please contact tdale11@ccc.rbksch.org for more information.  We need people to water plants, sponsor and build sheds, create veg patches, weave willow, sponsor sun sails, introduce bird and bat boxes, and so much more.
