On Thursday the 11th of May Google Expeditions visited Chessington Community College, the students accessed learning through an immersive, and stunning, virtual reality experience.
The School was joined by an engineer, from Google Expeditions, who supported staff to take students on various excursions to locations that many only witness on television or film.
The expeditions included scuba diving with sharks, treks through the Borneo Jungle, visiting television studios and exploring the muscular system (from inside the human body).
Our Google Engineer remarked that Chessington was “one of the best schools he has visited“; he was so impressed with our students’ behaviour he donated some Google Cardboards to the school.
The school gave a special mention to Milad, who worked tirelessly to provide technical support, and Chloe, who supported students with using the Google Cardboards.
